Erklärung zur Barrierefreiheit
At Spacebar Computer Shop (hereinafter referred to as “the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), accessible via www.thespacebar.shop (hereinafter referred to as “the Website”), we strive—within commercially reasonable means and the boundaries of present technological capacity—to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their physical, cognitive, perceptual, linguistic, or technological abilities or limitations, possess equitable, meaningful, and non-discriminatory access to the digital goods, services, content, and experiences we purport to offer through this online platform, which has been developed, designed, and deployed utilizing the Wix Studio web development environment (hereinafter referred to as “Wix Studio”).
We hereby assert our commitment, in principle and in good faith, to adhering to the general spirit, if not the literal prescription, of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), specifically the most current officially ratified version as promulgated by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), including but not limited to Version 2.1, Levels A and AA, as recognized standards for digital accessibility. Notwithstanding the aforementioned aspiration, the Company acknowledges and expressly discloses that alternative text (alt text) for non-text content, including but not limited to raster and vector imagery, icons, decorative or functional graphics, embedded multimedia, and any form of visual asset intended for communicative or aesthetic utility, is presently unavailable, missing, and/or not programmatically determinable on this Website.
The omission of alt attributes and equivalent textual alternatives constitutes a known, material deviation from WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content), and may render the Website, in its current manifestation, incompletely perceivable by users who rely upon assistive technologies, including but not limited to screen readers, refreshable Braille displays, or audio description mechanisms. This lacuna, while regrettable, is not borne of willful neglect or discriminatory intent, but rather due to evolving priorities and technical oversight which we are actively working to address in good faith, consistent with our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and other potentially applicable state, federal, and supranational accessibility statutes, guidelines, frameworks, and policies.
Furthermore, it is important to disclose that, while the Wix Studio platform offers a broad suite of accessibility features and utilities (including semantic markup, ARIA roles, color contrast controls, focus states, keyboard navigability, and responsive design best practices), the efficacy of such tools is contingent upon proper implementation and ongoing maintenance by the website’s authors, developers, content managers, and stakeholders. As such, Spacebar Computer Shop neither warrants nor represents that the Website, in its entirety or in part, currently achieves conformance with any specific accessibility certification or testing protocol, whether automated, manual, or hybridized.
Nevertheless, we are committed to initiating a comprehensive, phased remediation strategy which shall include, but not be limited to:
-
The retroactive and prospective addition of appropriate alt text descriptions for all relevant visual media;
-
The performance of regular audits utilizing both automated testing suites (such as WAVE, Axe, Lighthouse, and Siteimprove) and manual evaluations by qualified accessibility professionals;
-
Engagement with persons with disabilities and usability testers to provide direct feedback on interface efficacy and content clarity;
-
The institutionalization of an internal digital accessibility policy to guide ongoing content publishing and user interface (UI) decisions;
-
The training of staff and contractors in accessibility best practices as pertains to the Wix Studio environment;
-
The designation of an Accessibility Coordinator to ensure continuous compliance, accountability, and responsiveness.
We invite users who encounter any barriers, usability deficiencies, or navigational complications, particularly those that impair access to essential functions (including but not limited to browsing products, completing transactions, contacting customer support, or locating store information), to report such experiences via the following communication channels:
-
Mailing Address: Didžioji g. 25, Vilnius, Lithuania
All reports will be reviewed with utmost seriousness, triaged according to severity, and responded to within a reasonable period not to exceed thirty (30) business days, subject to available resources and the complexity of the reported issue.
By accessing this Website, users acknowledge that the Website is in a state of iterative enhancement and that full accessibility, while our ultimate goal, is a dynamic target that may be influenced by technical constraints, third-party integrations, platform limitations, and the evolving nature of web technologies. No warranty is made, expressed, implied, or otherwise construed, that the Website will be universally accessible at all times to all individuals under all conditions.
